Many consider him only second to the singing maestro late Naranyangopal, who is respected as the king of melody in the Nepali speaking world. He has made a name for himself in Nepali music since 1987.The song Orali lageko harin ko chhal bho gave him the break he needed. He styled his singing after Narayan Gopal. His singing is greatly inspired by the works of Narayan Gopal. He is a great fan of the maestro. After Narayan Gopal’s death, Ram Krishan filled the void he left behind with the support of music aficionados. He considers Gopal Karmacharya as his guru. He firmly believes that his popularity as a singer and the success of his albums are solely due to his guru’s guidance.Ram Krishna Dhakal has sung over 1000 songs.
